Testing of primary packaging materials
Our primary packaging interaction studies start with an extraction study of the packaging components. During this process, we test which compounds could potentially migrate into the product. A leachable study uses stored or stressed samples, to assert which of the extractables actually migrate into the product. We possess years of experience with many conventional application systems for biopharmaceuticals, such as pre-filled syringes, but also for inhaled drugs or packaging materials of classic dosage forms. Commonly used packaging materials of renowned manufacturers are often not new for us.
