Nasal sprays

Nasal formulations also belong to the class of inhaled drugs. In these cases a drug product containing spray is often generated by a built-in dosing pump. Testing the uniformity of the individual spray bursts, the spray pattern formation as well as the droplet size distribution, is achieved by means of laser diffraction. These tests are frequently requested by manufacturers of these products.
